Mandi Sadat, PMHNP-BC
Mandi has a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions and a Master’s degree in Expressive Art Therapy from Lesley University. With almost two decades of experience she enjoys creating a strong therapeutic relationship with her patients, growing over time. She is ANCC board certified and able to prescribe medication in addition to psychotherapy. Warm, caring, empathetic and detail oriented are words that best describe Mandi. She specializes in adult psychiatry with acute focus to: treatment resistant depression in both men and women, eating disorders, comorbid illness, pregnancy/post partum and stress related to stages of life change (divorce, career change, transition to adulthood, aging, care-giving, ect…)
Among Mandi's repertoire of past career accomplishments include: supervising a crisis team in Boston, MA, working with at risk children and families with in home care, providing consultation to nursing home medical staff regarding psychotropic medication care for the elderly in Seattle, WA, working in a women's clinic within a integrative model/medication provider in Central WA, she has worked in Emergency Room and Inpatient settings at University of Massachusetts, acute crisis stabilization and community mental health settings in Massachusetts. Mandi has worked in outpatient community health in Springfield, MA. She worked in IOP and PHP treatment focusing on dual diagnosis in New Hampshire. Additionally, Mandi has treated patients with eating disorders in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Mandi’s extensive background and experience makes her an invaluable addition to our practice. She has a passion for treating eating disorders and is one of the few providers with this specialty in New Hampshire. She is enthusiastic with treating comorbid illness such as Crohn’s Disease, diabetes, obesity, fibromyalgia and cancer. Mandi has worked with prenatal and postpartum women and understands not every pregnancy or health journey is the same. She also treats premenstrual dysphoric disorder and issues post menopause, working closely with your OBGYN. One of Mandi’s specialties is treatment resistant depression in men and women. She has a warm and non judgmental approach to understanding your depression, understanding it can occur differently in each person. Mandi works with care givers and caring professionals to identify stressors and causes of burnout. She is dedicated to helping you through your life changes such as: relationship stress, divorce, life after college, career change and professional guidance. She enjoys educating her patients on medication, symptoms and lifestyle. No question is too small.
Mandi utilizes therapeutic interventions, psychotherapy, medication management and collaboration to ensure your healthcare and safety are first. She is happy to refer you to providers as needed. She can order blood work and pharmogentic testing (genesight). Mandi is happy to write Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letters for her patients. She is respectful of your wishes and personal goals. Let our intake coordinator know if you would like to be seen for both therapy and medication. Mandi also provides private mentoring and supervision for new graduates, sadly we can not accept students. If you are interested in this service, please inquire about our hourly rates.
Meredith Hogarty, PMHNP-BC, MSW
Meredith specializes in the medication management adults, ages 18 and older who are experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder and pregnancy/postpartum depression. She is an ANCC board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master's of Science in Nursing and Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. Meredith also holds a clinical Master's of Social Work degree from Boston College.
Meredith's experience as a nurse practitioner and clinician has allowed her to bring compassion, empathy and medical knowledge to each patient encounter. She views her work with patients as a partnership and strongly believes that each patient is an expert in their own experiences as well as their mental health needs. She works together with her patients to develop a treatment plan involving therapeutic interventions, psychotropic medication and life style changes. She understands the importance of collaborating with primary care providers, therapists and other health care providers in order to create a complete treatment plan. She always takes the time to provide ongoing education on symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options and she is committed to supporting patients on their path toward healing and wellness.
Meredith's special interests include treating patients experiencing chronic depression, excessive worries related to work, health and relationships as well as patients experiencing significant life transitions including young adulthood, pregnancy, new mothers/fathers, marital conflicts and caregiver stress.
Meredith's fifteen plus years of experience working in the mental health field has solidified her commitment to providing high quality patient care using a patient centered, strengths-based and caring treatment approach. She has worked with patients in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization and the community as well as conducting clinical research.
Marc Moawad, LMFT
Marc is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, seeing couples, individuals and families. He has his Master’s degree from The American School of Professional Psychology and has been working in the field of mental health for over 10 years. His clinical expertise focuses on trauma, anxiety, depression and relationships. Marc has a wealth of multidisciplinary knowledge, receiving his B.A from the University of South Florida with a dual bachelors in psychology and gerontology. He has a strong passion for working with co-morbid illness and those experiencing trauma secondary to medical diagnosis. He is a licensed personal trainer, having a second masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology, allowing him to focus on mind-body wellness.
Marc is a born and raised New Englander. At the age of 18, Marc joined the Marine Corps. Although primarily stationed in California, Marc has traveled the United States and foreign countries. During this time he was part of Operation Enduring Freedom, earning him the National Defense Service Medal, amongst other awards and certificates. After 8 years in the Marines, Marc separated from service to pursue his career as a therapist.
Marc feels deeply rooted to New England, making us lucky to have his strong clinical skills and ability to connect well with others within our practice. His strong focus on instilling hope in community and self makes him a valuable member to Psychiatric Wellness Center. He hopes to be an encouraging member of your wellness journey.
